Prosiding seminar nasional pendidikan lokakarya PISA:melalui PISA kita tingkatkan kualitas guru dan siswa
Abstract_x000D_
The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical connection ability of students who obtained LC_x000D_
5E learning and students who obtained conventional learning, and to see whether there was an effect of LC_x000D_
5E on students' mathematical connection skills. This study uses an experimental method that applies two_x000D_
learning models, namely LC 5E and conventional learning. The population in this study were eighth grade_x000D_
students of Palembang State Middle School 42. Sampling using random sampling. From 7 classes taken 2_x000D_
sample classes totaling 70 students, of which 35 students for the experimental class and 35 students for the_x000D_
control class. The instrument used is a test of mathematical connection ability. Learning outcomes data were_x000D_
tested using the Mann Whitney U non-parametric test. Then, the Sig. 2-tailed for students' mathematical_x000D_
connection ability is 0,000 less than ï¡ = 0.05. So it was concluded that there was an influence of LC 5E on_x000D_
mathematical connection ability of eighth grade students of Palembang State Middle School 42. The_x000D_
influence shown is a positive influence because the average experimental class learning outcomes (77.00) is_x000D_
greater than the average learning outcomes of the control class (55.57). In other words the mathematical_x000D_
connection ability of students who get LC 5E learning is better than those who get conventional learning._x000D_
Keywords: LC 5E, Conventional, Mathematical Connection Ability
